Strategic partnership with The Climate Group

the-climate-groupTeng Hoi and The Climate Group have recently signed an MoU to expand the scope of the Carbon Trading Game in Hong Kong.  By joining forces, we hope to be able to rapidly expand the scope of carbon trading in Hong Kong and the region.

Training starts for Lingnan U students CTG team

ctg_ln-14-9-11A group of 3 students from Lingnan University, Jay Jing He, Tina Yao Xiaoping, and Alla Lau Sui are now under training to help them run the Carbon Trading Game in schools in the Tuen Mun/Tin Shui Wai region.  The first game will be at the Ma Ko Pan school under the coordination of Mr Tang Chi Keung, the Liberal Studies teacher.

Oxford Study Courses sponsors Carbon Trading Game

osc_smUK-based Oxford Study Courses (OSC) has agreed to help sponsor our Carbon Trading Programme in Hong Kong schools.  This development will help to ensure the success of the school's programme that we will be running with the help of the UWC graduates (see here for more information).  The Carbon Trading Game has already been run at an OSC course where it was very well received (see here).

We have our finger on the buttons!

corozo_buttons_smThere are few things more familiar to us than the buttons on our clothes.  Now we can use more environmentally-friendly ones made from natural materials (such as the nut of a palm tree) rather than hard plastic, which is a petroleum product.  A group of major Asian manufacturers has now agreed to start production of these new buttons to replace the plastic ones as well as buy offsets from us.  So, not only do these buttons help to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere from the growth of the trees, the carbon emissions from the manufacturing process are also offset too.
