jane_goodall1_smThe Jane Goodall Institute in Hong Kong kicked the school year off with a bang with a Roots & Shoots Asia Pacific Youth Summit on 30th August 2010 at Renaissance College.  To help connect students with Hong Kong NGOs there was an Eco Expo during the lunch break.

jane_goodall2_smIt was a great opportunity to meet students and teachers from different schools in Hong Kong.  We put our visitors through their paces on the electric bike (fortunately we were inside in the cool!) and chatted about bokashi composting.  Later we were lucky enough to be able to sit down for the presentations.  Thanks to Corinne and Joyce at Roots and Shoots.

ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION

th_logo_2010_smTeng Hoi Conservation Organization is a member of Take Tech Ltd, a non-profit making organization registered in Hong Kong.  We develop practical and participative environmental programmes with a strong emphasis on education and measurable results.  'Teng Hoi' is a Cantonese phrase that translates as 'listen to the sea', a name that came from our first programme, the development of a device to locate explosions underwater generated by illegal fish bombs.
