Learning through games

E-mail Print PDF
We believe that games can play a significant role in helping to deliver Education for Sustainable Development, and in our case build a better understanding of the politics and economics of Climate Change.  Rather than study such factors in a more traditional academic fashion, game playing allows students to learn through experience. As we develop the Cap and Trade programme we will be collaborating with expert partners to study the effectiveness of our approach based in the University of Plymouth, UK and Lingnan University, Hong Kong.  We very much welcome other suitable partners to join us.

ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION

th_logo_2010_smTeng Hoi Conservation Organization is a member of Take Tech Ltd, a non-profit making organization registered in Hong Kong.  We develop practical and participative environmental programmes with a strong emphasis on education and measurable results.  'Teng Hoi' is a Cantonese phrase that translates as 'listen to the sea', a name that came from our first programme, the development of a device to locate explosions underwater generated by illegal fish bombs.
