HONG KONG SCHOOLS CAP EMISSIONS

solar_panelsEach school has a cap on carbon emissions generated by electricity consumption.  Educational activities are then introduced that promote energy saving.  Emissions savings are converted into Community Carbon Credits.

PEOPLE OFFSET WITH US

Individuals or companies wishing to offset their own carbon emissions can buy Community Carbon Credits from us, benefiting the schools that created them.  The offsetting money saves carbon and helps promote environmental education.

SCHOOLS IMPLEMENT ECO PROJECTS

child_planting2The offsetting money with matched funds from the school enters a School Environment Fund.  Students have a say in how the funds are spent to produce environmental benefits in the school.

Welcome to our community

Hong_KongTackling the issue of Climate Change requires community support and involvement, and that's exactly what this website is for. Our aim is to develop community initiatives that make measurable reductions in emissions and which generate carbon offsets.  Our Cap and Trade scheme for schools is being piloted in Hong Kong and the results will be publicized on this website.  FOR A SUMMARY, SEE HERE.

Community Carbon Offsetting was initiated by Teng Hoi Conservation Organization, a charitable non-profit making organization registered under the law of Hong Kong.
